Meet the coaches
|

Coach Lemon returns to Central State with a wealth of experience. In his 20 years of coaching he has proven that he is capable of creating winning teams and molding young men into high character citizens. Coach Lemon was a member of the CSU 1990 National Championship staff.

|
|
An Evanston, Illinois native, Barbera was Secondary Coach and Special Teams Coordinator at both the College of Dupage and Eastern Michigan. He lettered two years as Quarterback and Wide Receiver at Eastern Michigan. |
|
|
|
|
Mosley, a native of Washington, D.C. was the leader of the 1990 and 1992 Marauder National Championship teams. Coach Mosley holds most of the major Marauder Quarterback records at Central State.
|
|
|
|
|
Coach Riase works with the Offensive Line this year after coaching the running backs last spring. A 2003 graduate of Miami University (OH) with a degree in Psychology, Riase played defensive line for the Red Hawks. Miami University won a Mid America Conference Championship while he was there and also went to a post season bowl game.

|
|
|
|
Smith, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, stoodout at Miami University in Ohio as a running back. He won a Mid-American conference championship and was in two bowl games. He rushed 1,300+ yards and had 28 TDs at Miami.
|
|
|
|
|
A native of Washington, D.C., Suber was a second team All-American and member of the National Championship coaching staffs for the Marauders. He graduated from CSU in 1990 with a Bachelors in Business.
|
|
|
|
|
A native of Miami, Florida, Thompson was a member of the 1995 National Championship team. He was a graduate assistant at Tuskegee University before he returned to Central State in 2000 to earn his Bachelors in Recreation.
|
|
|
|
|
Williams, a native of Dayton, Ohio, was a member of the 1990 National Championship team as a Defensive Back. There he led the Nation in Interceptions and was named a NAIA All-American. He graduated in 1992 with a Bachelors in Special Education.
|
|
|
|
|
Coach Smith will assist with the offensive line. He works full time for the University in the Department of Logistics and volunteers his time after work.
|
|
|
|
|
Coach Scroggins will coordinate the video services for Coach Lemon. He will videotape practices and games and assist with film breakdown and analysis.
|
|
|
|
|
Mrs. Rucker is a native of Dayton, Ohio and has been working to revitalize the football program since the beginning. As the operations manager for the football program, she serves a vital role. She oversees purchasing, travel arrangements, planning football activities and campus visits. Ms Rucker is a longtime Central State Marauder.
|
|
|
|
|
Ms Jones oversees the daily operations in the Training Room and coordinates the health care for all the athletes. She has developed specialized conditioning programs for many of the athletes. She is a 2003 of Wright State University and served an internship at Central State while working on her degree.
|
|
|
|
|
Mr. Marshall moved into his role as full time Sports Information Director this year. From 1974 to 1985 and again from 1995 to 2005, he held the position of Head Athletic Trainer. In 1998, he took on the duties of Sports Information Director. He is responsible for all athletic public relations and publications.

|
|
|
|
Intercollegiate Athletics at CSU provides the opportunity for students to participate in competitive team and individual sports in an educational setting. In 2003, over 45% of our student-athletes earned the academic distinction of Scholar Marauder status which denotes a 3.0 GPA for an academic term. [This has] been possible because of the support of alumni, parents, and friends.
